Jack L. Pedersen

October 11, 1921 ~ April 20, 2018 (age 96)

Jack L. Pedersen

Jack was born October 11, 1921 in Englewood, Colorado to Oscar and Hazel (Merchant) Pedersen.  He passed away April 20, 2018 at his home in Denver.

Jack grew up in Englewood, Colorado, one of three sons.  After graduating from Englewood High School he enlisted in the Army, attended college in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and was on the ship Queen Elizabeth during perilous times.  Truly a member of "The Greatest Generation".
A sheet metal craftsman, he completed several special projects for the US government.  He owned and operated Custom Stainless for over forty years.
Jack and his wife of 38 years (who passed in 2013) traveled extensively.
Jack was an excellent and generous provider, who enjoyed sharing his knowledge, skill, and compassion.  He was like a father and grandfather to many and enjoyed the company of others.
He loved working, children, home projects, plants and flowers,
animals, knowledge, debate, socializing with others from all walks of life, and making the most out of life.
Courageous in his acceptance of his disabilities from injuries in his life, he persevered.
Jack is preceded in death by his wife Midge who passed away in 2013, his brothers Charles and Robert, his step-son Michael and many very good friends.
Jack is survived by his daughters Pamela and Stephanie, his step-children Denny, Pennie, Jill and Shereen as well as his step-grandchildren, step-great grandchildren and step-great great grandchildren as well as nephews LeRoy, Jeffrey and Mark and Grand niece Erin.

A Celebration of Jack's Life will be held at the Bullock Colonial Chapel on Tuesday, May 1, 2018 at 11:00 a.m..  Interment will follow with full military honors at Fort Logan National Cemetery at 1:00 p.m. (Staging area "A").
