Carole Ann Rector
Carole Ann Hopper was born the only child to Robert and Kathryn Hopper on September 1st, 1946. Her early childhood was spent in Queens, NY before her family relocated upstate to Newburg, NY.
After high school Carole started working for a bank, and at the age of 20 announced to her parents that she and her best friend, Stephanie would be moving cross-country to California. They packed up all of their belongings in the back of a Volkswagon bug and made the move to the Bay Area. A few years after living in CA, Carole attended a Halloween party without a costume, and met the love of her life, Michael Rector - also not in costume.
They were married on September, 22nd 1973 in Newburg, NY. They welcomed their son, Brian on June 11th, 1976 and their daughter, Julie on June 9th, 1980. They have resided in Parker, CO since 1978.
Carole took a lot of pride in raising her children and was always very involved in their school activities, and never missed a game. Her passion in life was being a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She could light up any room with her contagious laugh, and ability to always have a good time no matter where she was. She loved spending time with friends, traveling, and enjoying a glass of Chardonnay.
Carole is preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Michael Rector. She was a devoted mother to Brian Rector and Julie Odell, and mother in law to Christina Rector and Mark Odell. Carole is also survived by her 4 grandchildren and absolute lights of her life - Colten (11) and Cannon (8) Rector and Emersyn (6) and Greysyn (2) Odell.
A Celebration of Carole's Life will be held at the Parker United Methodist Church on Friday, May 24, 2019 at 2:00 p.m.
